This may sound flippant given all the life changing stuff we've talked about but i wished i'd got into cooking a lot earlier.

It's hardly a counterpoint because without accepting the pain of regret, there would be no pleasure from the learning. And the pain of fucking up a good relationship never goes away.

I see the point. I offer a counter one. There have been decisions I have made that led to pain, estrangement and financial hardship and missing out.
The pain changed me for the better when I had a second chance.
The estrangement made me determined to be honest, close and tolerant when it ended,.
The financial hardship made me value money and be more prudent The missing out made being braver with those decisions in later life.

Let me just say if I had my time again I would do a lot of things differently. Mind you, I'm one of these things cunts who makes the same mistakes, so I'd probably fuck it all up again anyway. Life is crap, in the main.

Mostly missed opportunities really, missing out because i assumed i'd just be not good enough, or not dating someone i liked because i assumed they'd cheat like the bloke before him.did.
